Software certification requirements differ. Please see below

Depending on the software and the underlying OS, the primary requirement for [Certification Interoperability](https://docs.ndi.video/all/developing-with-ndi/ndi-certified/certification-guidelines/interoperability-requirements) will be adjusted. For example, an app running on a mobile device that uses wifi as it’s primary method of communication won’t support multicast sending or receiving, nor will a cloud-based software. To that end, Interoperability testing will be adjusted for what the OS and hardware is capable of (DHCP/Static IP, update/upgrade method, mDNS Discovery, multicast).

For software running on Windows or Mac, the software must respect the JSON configuration file from NDI Access Manager.

Specifically for the software or app, the following must be present within the software package:

* Control/Management interface in the software application
* Must support proxy stream sending and/or receiving
* NDI Group support with **Public** as the default group if no other Group name is entered, with support for multiple concurrent groups for sending and receiving. If the software is Windows or Mac-based, then it must follow the JSON config file from [Access Manager](/all/using-ndi/ndi-tools/ndi-tools-for-mac/access-manager.md).
* NDI Discovery Server support, with the option to connect to multiple Discovery Servers. For software that can **SEND**, it must only send to the Discover Server(s), but a **RECEIVE** software can receive from mDNS and Discovery Server(s) concurrently. If the software is Windows or Mac-based, then it must follow the JSON config file from [Access Manager](/all/using-ndi/ndi-tools/ndi-tools-for-windows/access-manager.md).
* User-manual or guide
* Up-to-date SDK integration. The SDK must be updated separately in the software package’s updater and not from NDI Tools if on Windows or Mac
* HDR optionable for sending and/or receiving
* Adherence to customer expectation for Interlaced video

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.ndi.video/all/developing-with-ndi/ndi-certified/certified-products/miscellaneous-devices.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
